SECTION III: INFORMATION PERSONAE CONSTRUCTION
Chapter 8 - Construction of the Information Personae
8.17 View Generation
8.17.1 The final role of the Information Personae is to provide dynamic rendering of content to multiple users, engaged via multiple modes of interaction. This is referred to as "dynamic view generation." This component handles the transformation of a space object (see the section on "Public Space") into a rendered form based on the rules provided by the current context or domain. The process is similar to the application of style sheets to HTML documents (Cascading Style Sheet Specification, 1997) but with the added dimensions of space and time. Other capabilities of this component include the dynamic construction of transient spaces based on users' navigation and manipulation. Large scale spaces will be accommodated using optimisation algorithms for selecting appropriate level of detail and rendering with which to display potentially visible objects in order to meet a user-specified target frame time. This component will also provide support for synchronous and asynchronous interaction between users and agents.
