This view approximates that of the viewer standing at the center of the exhibition, with some playful distortion. The room is meant to reproduce the type of experience a viewer might have had in a sixteenth-century curiosity cabinet. You may note that wall labels are kept to a minimum in an effort to allow the viewer to make his or her own connections between objects. By assembling a large and heterogeneous group of objects within a limited space, an almost infinite series of associations among the objects can be generated by the curious viewer.
