In this paper I will seek to cover a number of issues related to strategies of art production, distribution and collection in relation to computer-based electronic media art. I will examine a series of different perspective as related to this topic. I will cover the following topics:

1) Problematics surrounding the collection of Computer-based Electronic Media Art.
2) Potentials and problematics of the World Wide Web in terms of distribution and collection.
3) Different "Versions" of media: CD Rom, WWW versions, Installation Versions, Related Media - Video Versions, Questions surrounding the "update."
4) Potentials and Problematics of Corporate Sponsorship
5) Funding from other sources: Grants and Public works
6) The Half-life of electronic media
7) The development of an "Economy of Means" Thus a series of observations will be elaborated.
